Application documents for the Food Mile will be available for download here from 8 January 2026!

For the Maschseefest, which takes place from 22 July to 9 August 2026, Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH is awarding stand operation contracts for the "Food Mile" in the form of service concessions and is conducting a public tender for this purpose, which is not subject to the EU Public Procurement Directives or the Concession Award Ordinance (KonzVgV) because it falls below the threshold value.

A total of 14 stands

Stand operating contracts are awarded for 11 stands on the east bank and 3 stands on the west bank for the sale of food for rent with fixed rental prices for one year in each case. In order to achieve a variety of offers, this year's tender will again be divided into lots:

• LOT 1: Burgers (2 stands)
• LOT 2: Pizza (2 stands)
• LOT 3: Crêpes & waffles (2 stands)
• LOS 4: Rotisserie spit (gyros, doner kebab, sharwarma, lahmaccun) (1 stand)
• LOS 5: Falafel & couscous (1 stand)
• LOS 6: Asian (1 stand)
• LOS 7: Vegan (1 stand)
• LOT 8: Specials - open lot for food product lines not included in lots 1 to 7 (4 stands)

Anyone interested can for one lot only apply. Multiple applications are excluded. In order to ensure the broadest possible competition, entrepreneurs who have already concluded a stand operation contract for one of the larger catering units at the Maschseefest 2026 as a result of previous tenders will only be considered if there are not enough offers from other entrepreneurs for the 14 advertised stand areas.

For the award decision, an evaluation matrix will be used to assess both a) the performance of the bidder (including references) and b) the quality of the catering concept to be submitted. If the top-ranked bidders for one of the lots put out to tender achieve the same number of points according to the award criteria and if the number of these bidders is higher than the number of stands to be awarded in the lot in question, a decision will be made between these bidders.
