Folk, polka, irony and improvisation: Nobody Knows has been playing, writing poetry, dancing and surprising for 20 years
Nobody Knows has been on the road for over two decades - musically boundless, ironically broken and always on the move. The multi-award-winning band is touring Germany with their current show "Optische Enttäuschung - Fortsetzung folkt" (Optical Disappointment - Continued Folk) and delighting audiences with a mixture of folk, polka, country, chanson and Irish sounds.
Original compositions meet literary greats such as Tucholsky, Busch or Heine - sometimes playful, sometimes sharp-tongued, always with attitude and humour. With guitar, violin, bouzouki, mandolin, banjo, drums and double bass, the result is an energetic live show that defies categorisation.
Improvisation, the joy of movement and ironic self-reflection are integral parts of their concerts - no two performances are the same.
Nobody Knows deliver a celebration of diversity at the Südanleger - clever, cheeky and musically independent.
