Characterised by crisp brass sections and sophisticated arrangements, the Spielvereinigung Linden Nord interprets hits and B-sides from sophisticated dance orchestras à la Paul Kuhn, Caterina Valente and Peter Alexander. But GDR music from the 70s, such as Manfred Krug and the Günther Fischer Orchestra, is also close to the hearts of the 13-strong music syndicate. The whole thing is packed into a stage show that is well worth seeing.
