Special bus route 267 during the Maschsee Festival and bus route 800
During the festival, you can travel comfortably to the lake and from one location to another on bus route 267.
Without the hassle of looking for a parking space and without risking your driving licence, you can take the bus route 267, which has been set up especially for the Maschseefest.
The event line 267 runs several times an hour to the lake shore during the entire Maschseefest. The buses run between the stops "Kröpcke" and "Maschsee/Strandbad". Between the end points, the buses serve the stops "Aegidientorplatz", "Rathaus/Bleichenstraße", "Maschsee/Sprengel Museum", "Maschsee/Funkhaus", "Maschsee/Geibelstraße", "Maschsee/Altenbekener Damm" and "Maschsee/Löwenbastion".

Monday - Thursday: from approx. 18:00 (first journey) - 1:00 (last journey)
Friday / Saturday: from approx. 14:00 (first trip) - 2:30 (last trip)
Sunday: from approx. 11:00 a.m. (first ride) - 1:30 a.m. (last ride)

The sprintH Bus route 800 runs between "Mehrum" and "Kröpcke" and serves the stops "Maschsee/Altenbekener Damm", "Maschsee/Funkhaus" and "Maschsee/Sprengel Museum" directly at the Maschsee. In addition to the regular stops, the "Maschsee/Geibelstraße" stop on line 267 is also served.

With the Lines 1 (Laatzen/Sarstedt), 2 (Rethen), and 8 (Messe/Nord) you can travel from the main station (or Kröpcke) to the following stations:
Aegidientorplatz, Schlägerstraße, Geibelstraße, Altenbekener Damm or Döhrener Turm.
From there, walk in a westerly direction to the eastern shore of the Maschsee (just under ten minutes on foot).
Or you can take the Lines 3, 7 (Wettbergen), 13 (Hemmingen) and 9 (Empelde) from the main station or Kröpcke to the station: Waterloo.
Walk in a southerly direction via Waterloostraße and Bruchmeisterallee to the north bank (just under 10 minutes on foot).

Travelling by train
For travelling to and from the Hannover Region, we recommend the Tickets of the Greater Hannover Transport Authority (GVH)which are also valid on the S-Bahn and on DB Regio, metronom, erixx and WestfalenBahn trains (in 2nd carriage class in each case).
If you are travelling from the surrounding area, we recommend using the Hannover S-Bahn. It runs directly to Hanover Central Station.
The S-Bahn Hannover connects the main station with the surrounding area at least every hour until midnight. Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday there is also Night star traffic.
