Bad Penny combines North German soul with Celtic folk rock - powerful, emotional and authentic
When North German souls meet Celtic traditions, the result is music that gets under your skin. Bad Penny brings the great hymns of Ireland and Scotland to the stage with raw soul, untamed energy and plenty of emotion.
The band combines delicate melodies with powerful arrangements and lends new lustre to age-old traditional songs. Their music is a journey through time and space - sometimes gentle and solemn, sometimes dynamic and driving.
Also on board: frontman Ola Van Sander, singer and guitarist with an unmistakable style, virtuoso pianist Peter Müller and violinist Olivia Comfort from New York, whose playing gives the sound a special flavour. Together with other international musicians, they create the characteristic, powerful sound of Bad Penny.
On the south jetty, Bad Penny build a bridge between the North Sea and the Highlands - impressive, lively and full of musical depth.
