Big Band Berenbostel: With its superb singers, the Big Band Berenbostel from the Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium in Garbsen, conducted by Felix Maier, performs at jazz matinees, swing dance events, in small clubs and at major town festivals. Highlights of recent years have included international concert tours to the USA, Poland, Italy, Russia and Canada. The Berenbostel Big Band has been a regular prize-winner at Germany’s leading big band competitions for more than 20 years and, in June 2025, was named Germany’s best youth big band for the fifth time at the German Orchestra Competition in Wiesbaden.
