On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Maschseepiraten set sail; on Wednesdays, Thursdays and at weekends, various activities and attractions attract children to the children's meadow on the west bank and the play park on the south bank of the Maschsee can be visited daily.

19 days until the Maschsee Festival 2026 – time to take a look at the figures! ✨
2.3 million visitors around Lake Maschsee, 19 large catering outlets, four major stages and many other venues: these 19 days of summer, music, enjoyment and socialising have produced some impressive figures.
The 2026 Finals also made this year’s opening particularly special, attracting around 150,000 extra visitors to the Maschsee over the first four days.
And what about the weather? An average of 21 °C and 8.5 hours of sunshine a day – pretty good conditions for long summer days and evenings by the lake. ☀️

And suddenly, the 19 days of the Maschsee Festival are over again. ✨
19 days filled with music, summer evenings by the water, favourite meals, encounters, laughter, dancing and lots of moments – big and small – around Lake Maschsee.
What remains in the end is not just packed stages, long evenings and countless memories. Above all, it is the people who make the Maschseefest what it is every year.
To all of you who dropped by. Who danced, sang, sampled the food, raised a glass and celebrated the summer with us.
And to all the people who, both in front of and behind the scenes, ensured that, thanks to many ideas, a great deal of planning and countless hours of work, the Maschseefest could take place once again: on stage, in the catering areas, at the stalls, amongst our partners and service providers, within the teams and in many other places around the lake.

Today we’d like to spend another really lovely day with you at Maschsee – with music, good food, cool drinks and plenty of that Maschseefest atmosphere. ☀️🎶
Do pop round, take another stroll around the lake, visit your favourite stalls and join us in enjoying these final few hours. ✨
Just a quick note to help you plan: from 10 pm onwards, some stalls and attractions will gradually start winding down for the evening.

The final week of the holidays is once again packed with fun activities for the whole family. 🧑🧑🧒🧒
At our children’s play area, there’ll be craft activities, face painting, climbing, bouncy castles, games and lots more hands-on fun – all free of charge and full of fun! There’ll also be exciting highlights such as the Children’s Olympics, basketball stations, a real ambulance to explore, sing-along music and much more.

We’ve just had a weekend full of sporting excellence, unforgettable moments and a very special atmosphere at the Maschsee. With the finals taking place, it wasn’t just the Maschsee that became the stage for sporting excellence, unforgettable moments and plenty of summer vibes – the whole of Hanover did too.
A huge thank you to our catering businesses, service providers, partners, artists, emergency services and everyone else involved, whose dedication makes the Maschseefest possible day after day.
And, of course, to you – our visitors – for your good humour and the many lovely encounters we’ve had around the lake.

A joint opening ceremony on the floating stage on Lake Maschsee marked a very special moment in Hanover yesterday. 🌊
The Maschseefest 2026 and Die Finals 2026 will kick off a weekend packed with excitement, top-class sport, music and unique experiences – right in the heart of our city.
What makes this opening ceremony so special? It combines a festival atmosphere with top sporting performances and shows what is possible when strong partners pull together.
We’re looking forward to some unforgettable days by and on Lake Masch and wish all visitors, athletes and volunteers a wonderful time.
